Jon Phonics is an MC / Producer based in west London. He’s responsible for providing the beats to rhymes by TB, M9, Mr Drastick & Verb T to name a few,  and last year he released his debut album Half Past Calm.

His beats are reminiscent of early Lewis Parker; dynamic, soulful and refreshingly grainy with the album riding on deep jazz influences and old school sampling.

And the best bit… the album is available on FREE download via his Myspace page or via megadownload. So not only do you get a nice helping of beats and rhymes, but it all comes at everyone’s favourite price.
